#99 – Hot Chocolate

So I’m not entirely sure that hot chocolate is intended to be made with bar chocolate instead of cocoa powder, but since the bf likes white hot chocolate and that’s not easy to find, I decided to give this a go anyway and just wing the recipe.

I bought Ghiradhelli chocolate, since we both like that brand. Also pictured, two cups of milk.

I used two squares of chocolate per 8 oz of milk.

Melt the chocolate in the microwave. I did 30 seconds (heat each bowl separately) and then stirred until fully melted.

Add the heated milk, whisk together, and enjoy!

Verdict: It was pretty tasty, and involved less steps and mess than making hot chocolate with cocoa powder, and was much better than a powdered mix. I’ll definitely be making this again. (The bf liked his white chocolate version too, and is happy to not have to make a special trip to Dunkin Donuts when a craving hits!)
